When conflict feels overwhelming, many people cope by withdrawing. They become quiet, emotionally unavailable, leave the room, "ice" their partner out. While withdrawal may bring temporary relief, it often leaves a partner feeling abandoned, rejected, unimportant or enraged. The more one partner pursues connection, the more the other retreats, creating a painful cycle that neither person knows how to stop. Sometimes both partners withdraw, creating a loop is silent suffering.


In this 90-minute workshop, you'll learn why withdrawal isn't a character flaw or a lack of love—it's often a protective strategy developed to manage fear, overwhelm, criticism, or conflict. You'll discover how this well-intentioned survival strategy unintentionally deepens loneliness and distance within a relationship.


Together we'll explore practical skills to help you remain present during conflict, communicate your need for space in ways that build trust rather than fear, and create a relationship where both partners feel emotionally safe, seen,…
