About the event
Why Trying to Control Your Partner Never Works
When we feel anxious, hurt, frustrated, or disconnected, it can be tempting to try to change, manage, pressure, or control our partner's behavior. While these efforts may provide a temporary sense of security or certainty, they often create resistance, defensiveness, and distance.
This workshop explores why attempts to control others can be so compelling, what they cost us in our relationships, and how to replace this losing strategy with relationality, accountability, and more effective ways of connecting.
Substantial time will be dedicated to Q&A for deeper exploration as a group about how this losing strategy shows up in our lives and how to shift it.
